Economy Stimulus- United States

Sheirl Fletcher supports a national economic stimulus package that includes the following:

• Reduction of income taxes for middle class families.
• Reduction of corporate income taxes giving American companies a level playing field in order to be competitive in the world market.
• Tax deductions for health care premiums.
• Investment in infrastructure including maintenance and new construction of highways, river ports, airports and bridges.
• Simplifying the tax code for personal and business taxpayers.

Economic Stimulus- West Virginia

In addition to personal and corporate tax relief, Sheirl Fletcher would stimulate the West Virginia economy by supporting:

• Research efforts of DOE's National Energy Technology Lab, WVU's National Research Center for Coal and Energy, and the coal industry to develop clean coal and coal-to-liquid technologies which would increase the number of coal mining and coal-related jobs in the state and make our nation one step closer to becoming energy independent.
• Bioresearch at WVU, Marshall University, and the pharmaceutical industry focusing on medicines for relief of chronic illnesses and cures for cancer and other diseases.
• The generic pharmaceutical industry by allowing generics into Medicare and other federally funded health care markets.
• Completion of West Virginia's highway system.
